My name is Rachel Lightbird. I have been teaching yoga for 20 years and have trained with some of the top teachers in the world, including Shiva Rea, Pathabi Jois, John Friend and more.

My History

 

 I started Aberdeen’s first yoga studio, back in 2003, which was voted the most enjoyable exercise space in town by the local newspaper.
 
I had no plans to start another yoga studio after I moved to the Lake District, however, a venue for one of my yoga courses fell through, so in Spring 2019, I came to look at the Conservatory Room in Victoria Hall Business centre. It had a lovely light feel, was very quiet, (except for the odd song or two coming from the Rock School) + most importantly the students loved it.
 
 Already, it’s a thriving, friendly Yoga, Pilates and meditation space and we plan to be more proactive in the future. New teachers are coming on board, with new classes, new ideas and new energy.
 
Hopefully new students as well. Maybe even you?
